Being part of your community matters. Kind Path supports you to get out, connect, and do the things you enjoy — on your own terms.
What community participation looks like
Community participation support is as individual as you are. Some examples of what our support workers help with include:
- Attending social or recreational groups and clubs
- Visiting friends and family
- Attending religious or cultural events
- Taking part in sport and fitness activities
- Pursuing hobbies and creative interests
- Volunteering in the community
- Accessing education and training
- Using public transport confidently
Building skills and confidence
We don't just accompany you — we help you build the skills and confidence to participate more independently over time. If your goal is to catch the bus to your art class by yourself, we'll work with you step by step until that is something you can do.
NDIS funding
Community participation is funded under Core Supports — Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation (support category 04). Your plan may also include Capacity Building funding for skill-building activities.
Contact our team to discuss your goals and what community participation support could look like for you.
